10/18/07 "Nicks Shtick 2"

If I could have a moment of your time, I would like to tell you a little something about a man that I know. He is a better friend than any man, myself especially, could ever deserve. His name is Nicholas J. Cole and he is magic incarnate.

I was at a low point in my life when I first met Nicholas. I was hitting the bottle pretty hard every night and every day I would hit my wife even harder. I was a wreck, to say the least. I don't know what he saw in me, but Nick knew there was potential; the potential for greatness and, more importantly, the potential for friendship. He made the decision to help me, and he did something that changed my life forever. He killed my wife. Aside from punching at her corpse during the funeral, I never laid another finger on her after that day. Nick rescued me from a prison of domestic abuse!

Of course, I loved my wife, so this drove me further into my alcoholic depression. With Nick serving life in prison, I had nobody to help me. That's when Jeff approached me with the website. I'd like to think that Jeff saw something in me, but I know that's not true. He hit my Volvo when he blindly pulled out of his driveway and, not having insurance, he agreed to make me partner on his website in exchange for my silence. Granted, I was drinking heavily that day and I was driving on the wrong side of the road, but that didn't come out until it was far too late.

Even behind bars, Nick is still affecting my life. It wasn't until his court trial that I found out that he was wanted for a series of other crimes, the most serious offense being the brutal murder of a prostitute in Omaha. I never would have guessed! The thought that someone with such horrible secrets could live such a convincing lie; it gave me hope!

So now you all know the truth. I'm a flawed human being, Jeff makes mistakes, and Nick murders hookers. All the time.
